The Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) is the world's largest recreational diving membership and diver training organization founded in 1966 in the USA.

The PADI system is composed of modules with standardized learning objectives divided into theory and practical skills development.

PADI Professional Training centres are located at

  1. Cairns

  2. Airlie Beach - Whitsundays

The main PADI Australia dive centre is located in Queensland in the city of Cairns, however, Open Water, Advanced and Rescue Diver Courses are now also available in Airlie Beach, Whitsunday.

Courses in Cairns can include a 3 day 2 night Great Barrier Reef dive liveaboard. This option is not available in Airlie Beach.

Cairns Diver Training Centre - PADI Diving Courses

Basic diving couse comprising 2 days of theory and pool training at Cairns PADI Australia Training facility and a 3 day Great Barrier Reef liveaboard cruise.

A 4 day course is also available which includes 2 one day cruises to the Great Barrier Reef and 4 open water dives.

 
 


If you have a PADI Open Water certification and you are planning a liveaboard dive cruise, for a few extra dollars become a PADI Advanced diver on the liveaboard cruise.

 

 

Pre-requisite for PADI Divemaster program
Teaches you effective dive rescue and first aid skills

 

 

17 days pool and theory followed by a 3 day liveaboard cruise.

 

 
 

Two and a half hours of 1 on 1 instruction at the training centre to refresh your diving skills and knowledge.

Airlie Beach Diver Training Centre - PADI Diving Courses

Basic diving course - a 3 day course

  • pool and theory conducted at the Airlie Beach training centre.
  • 4 open water training dives conducted on reefs around the Whitsunday Islands.
 
 


Completion of basic diving course

  • 4 open water dives conducted around the Whitsunday Islands

 
 
 


2 day course.

  • 5 open water dives conducted on reefs around the islands.
  • Deep dive and navigation are compulsory components of this course.
 
 
 


4 day course including EFR (Emergency First Aid Response) or 3 days if you already hold this qualification.

  • pool and theory conducted at the Airlie Beach training centre.
  • Open water training dives conducted on reefs around the Whitsunday Islands.
 
 
 


Two and a half hours of 1 on 1 instruction to refresh your diving skills and knowledge.
